Aglaonema Sparkling Sarah

    Commonly Known As:
  • Chinese Evergreen,
  • Aglaonema Sparkling Sarah

The Aglaonema “Sparkling Sarah” is one of many varieties of Chinese Evergreen plant. It’s native to Asia and New Guinea. Attractive and easy to care for, the Aglaonema tops the list of best houseplants. The Sparkling Sarah Aglaonema is loved for its large, spear-shaped, variegated leaves that are a deep green with colorful splashes of pink throughout.

  • light

The Aglaonema is low light tolerant, allowing it to live in most living spaces but it thrives in medium to bright indirect sunlight. It is best to keep it in an area that has enough light to read. An East-facing window, filtered by thin curtains or blinds will do well, but it can also be kept in lower light areas.

  • water

We suggest watering your Sparkling Sarah once a week, allowing the soil to drain and dry before watering again. Aglaonemas are forgiving to under watering but are less tolerant to over watering. Yellow leaves are a sign of overwatering, so if you start to see them simply remove the yellowing leaves and scale back on the water. Overwatering may also result in root rot.

  • temperature

Like humans, plants like the Aglaonema Sparkling Sarah prefer temperatures of 65⁰F to 85⁰F. The Aglaonema is not a cold-tolerant plant, so you should not expose this plant to temperatures below 50⁰F.

  • fertilizer

A very light feeder, apply a balanced houseplant fertilizer to your Sparkling Sarah at half strength once every 1 - 3 months during the growing season.
