Product Details
Adenium obesum

Adenium obesum, also known as Desert Rose, is a deciduous shrub native to the subtropics of eastern and southern Africa. Popular for its bright flowers ranging from light pink to deep red, the Desert Rose is an easy plant to care for that can add pops of color to your home. When in doubt, treat this houseplant as a succulent. The perfect indoor plant for beginners or those who don't have as much time to devote to their live plants, Adenium thrive in the brightest spot in your house and should be watered once every week and a half, or when the soil is dry to the touch. These hardy plants are drought tolerant and store water in their bulbous roots and trunk.

The Petite Free-Form Terracotta are perfect for accenting a small area or for mixing and matching several plants to fill a space. The subtle texture on the terracotta, a product of being hand-thrown upon design, links back to the interaction and time required to nurture and grow these plants into larger, mature foliage.

Plant Care
light

The Bird's Nest fern thrives in medium indirect light, but also tolerates low light. An East-facing window, filtered by thin curtains or blinds will do well, but it can also be kept in lower light areas. This bushy plant's leaves can burn in direct sunlight, so be mindful of placement in the home.

water

We suggest watering the Bird's Nest fern once a week, allowing soil to drain and dry slightly. The Bird's Nest fern should not be allowed to completely dry out. This houseplant prefers humidity and wants moist but not saturated soil.

temperature

Similar to humans, the Bird's Nest fern prefers temperatures of 65⁰F to 85⁰F. Do not expose to temperatures below 50⁰F.

fertilizer

A very light feeder, apply a balanced houseplant fertilizer to your Bird's Nest fern at half strength once every 1 - 3 months.
