Product Details
Asplenium nidus

Asplenium nidus, also known as a Bird's Nest fern, is a beautiful fern originating from the tropics of Asia and Africa. Though Bird's Nest ferns anchor themselves in soil they are epiphytic, meaning they derive moisture and nutrients from the air. These houseplants grow in a full rosette shape with new growth stemming from the center of the live plant.

The Large Boho, decorated with a variety of repeating chiseled patterns, is a large alternative to the Boho design. This playful yet simple design adds a pop of character to any plant without overshadowing its innate charm. Sturdy clay feet support this planter and give it some added height for visual variance.

Plant Care
light

The Bird's Nest fern thrives in medium indirect light, but also tolerates low light. An East-facing window, filtered by thin curtains or blinds will do well, but it can also be kept in lower light areas. This bushy plant's leaves can burn in direct sunlight, so be mindful of placement in the home.

water

We suggest watering the Bird's Nest fern once a week, allowing soil to drain and dry slightly. The Bird's Nest fern should not be allowed to completely dry out. This houseplant prefers humidity and wants moist but not saturated soil.

temperature

Similar to humans, the Bird's Nest fern prefers temperatures of 65⁰F to 85⁰F. Do not expose to temperatures below 50⁰F.

fertilizer

A very light feeder, apply a balanced houseplant fertilizer to your Bird's Nest fern at half strength once every 1 - 3 months.
