Philodendron Birkin is a spectacular cultivar of Philodendron Congo Rojo, native to the tropical parts of South America. This hybrid features long, oval shaped leaves with beautiful white pinstripes, and which grow from its center instead of a vine like most Philos. This unique cultivar was caused by mutation, so Birkins may revert back to their parent plants or continue to mutate, sprouting combinations of deep red and pinstriped foliage. To prevent the plant from leaning, we recommend rotating the houseplant weekly to ensure it receives even sun exposure. philodendron Birkin can be displayed anywhere there’s bright, indirect light to keep its vibrant colors and should be watered when the top two inches of soil feels dry to imitate its tropical origins. The unique patterning on this indoor plant along with its easy maintenance has made it a popular choice amongst decorative plants and dotting plant parents.
